Accessibility Statement for unterhunds.de
A website for everyone – our commitment to digital inclusion.
As a dog training school that puts trust and respectful interaction at the center of its work, we believe our website should be open to as many people as possible. For us, accessibility is not only about meeting legal requirements – it reflects our attitude: everyone should be able to find information, take part and participate without barriers.
On this page, we explain which measures we have already implemented, what we still want to improve and how you can help us develop the site further. This statement covers the German and English pages of unterhunds.de, including the pages on which we offer our digital guides.
What we have achieved so far
We have already designed many areas of our website so that they can be used with few barriers – regardless of technical requirements or individual abilities. This includes:

All content can be navigated without a mouse.

The content is logically organized and clearly marked up – this makes it easier to use with screen readers.

Important images have descriptive alt texts.

The colors we use are easy to distinguish, even for people with impaired vision.

The site works on all devices – from smartphones to screen readers.

No flickering or distracting animations
For stress-free use – including for people with neurological conditions or sensory sensitivity.

Clear language
We aim for easy-to-understand wording and avoid unnecessary jargon.
What we still want to improve
Accessibility is not a finished state but an ongoing process. The following points are currently being planned or implemented:
- Improving screen reader compatibility with semantic ARIA attributes
- Text alternatives for audio and video content, such as transcripts and subtitles
- Improved focus order in forms
- Testing against the criteria of the German accessibility ordinance (BITV 2.0)
Our goal is to make the website not only low-barrier but, in the long term, as accessible as possible.
